"Love is light in whatsoever house it may shine."
Welcome to the resource for the feast of light. I hope that the crafts and activities are enjoyable and look forward to hearing from you all how this may or may not have helped you and the kids. These activities are designed to be completed by both kindergarten and preschool kids. I will indicated which are for both and which are better suite for one over the other. These crafts can also be used for any quote about light.
How beautiful is this: "Love is light..."
Our first craft all about love and light and suitable for all ages with adult help:
Time: 5 minutes
What you need:
jar with a screw on lid
spray adhesive
glue
glitter
tea light
Method
1. Spray adhesive inside the jar: get all the inside corners. Note you can use glue and a paint brush if you like but time is of essence and you don't want the glue drying up.
2. Put about 1-2 tablespoons of glitter into jar
3. close lid and shake till glitter covers the sides and bottom of jar
4. glue quote on to the front of the bottle.
Note the quote for jar is included here but you can write your own a glue on to jar. My jar does not have the quote glued on yet.

All ages
This is a very simple craft using a piece of cardstock 8 inches long by 4 inches high rolled up into a tube. The alternative is a toilet paper roll.
Print and cut the candle flame and have the children stick to the roll to form a candle .
Any of the quotes that are included for the mason jars can be used here.
Here is my version: I drew the flame by hand a wrote the quote by hand. You can print the craft all coloured in or print and have the children colour it all in. the flame is stuck to the inside of the tube.
