Super Cute, Super Simple Naw-Rúz Card

This post came about because the children wanted to make a decoration for the tables at our Baha'i Naw Ruz celebration this year. The idea changed a little to be a card at each table. This craft is designed for toddlers with parents help to older kindergarten children.

Crafts are fun and even more fun if all you need to do is print and cut out the pieces. Here are 2 ways for you to make this card:

Grab the card all ready for you to print and give.

OR

Download the black and white template. Once downloaded, print onto coloured cardstock and cut out and stick onto a card base (8.5 in x 11 x cardstock folded in half)

This is what it can look like:

To construct the card yourself using the black and white template

Time: 5- 10 minutes with help from an adult or longer if the child is doing the gluing themselves.

Occasion: Naw Ruz, Ridvan, home visits

Material needed:

Glue,

Cardstock for the card. I used an 8.5 in x 11in white cardstock and folded in half.

Coloured card stock to print flower

Green cardstock for the stems and leaves.

Optional glitter glue, gems, stickers.

Instructions:

  1. Fold the cardstock for the base in half. (it is now 5.5 in x 8.5 in)

  2. For all flowers except the blue bell: Glue the leaves and stems close to the bottom edge of the card

  3. Glue the flowers onto the leaves.

  4. The blue bell has a stem that allows the flower to point downwards. glue the stem on top of the flower then stick to cardstock.

  5. Decorate as you like.

  6. Write a message inside. We wrote Happy Naw Ruz on the back because we wanted the people at the table to have something nice to see also.
